Lying down / Getting up
This page is currently in production.
There are two key points for improving movement:
① If you're not able to move, add something to assist you until you can
② Remove anything preventing movement
If your elderly family members are currently struggling to roll over or get up on a bed or duvet, look at them from these two points.
For example, when it comes to turning over on the bed, ① is a decrease in the contractile force of the abdominal muscles and waist muscles,
② can be due to the hardness of the body and fascia (which makes the upper body plate-like and difficult to roll).
Regarding getting up, the two key points for improving movement are:
①Decreased contraction of abdominal and waist muscles (similar to rolliing over)
②Hardness of body and fascia (since the back side is difficult to stretch, it prevents the body from bending)

Of the two key points mentioned above, the Renato's rehabilitation methods corresponding to ① are as follows.
(Click the blue text to go to each explanation page)
・Setting the abdominal muscles to tighten automatically→Part1
・Building waist muscles→Part3
(better to build the muscles around the buttocks to exert power→Part2)
Of the two key points mentioned above, the Renato's rehabilitation methods corresponding to ② is as follows.
・Remove (reduce) hardness or stiffness of the body (fascia)→Part4(only in Japanese so far, please use the automatic translation)
Also, regarding ②, not only does it prevent getting up movement due to lack of stretch, but it may also cause "pain" due to being pulled even though it does not stretch, so it is necessary to take measures (such as back pain when getting up).
It is more difficult to get up than to roll over because you have to lift your upper body completely.
if it is difficult to get up, you will not be able to get out of bed (the burden on the caregiver will increase) and if it is difficult to roll over, pressure sores (bedsores) are likely to occur.
